Restoring Competition to the Self-Funded Market

Monday, August 23 at 1:30pm EDT

or

Thursday, Sept. 9 at 1:30pm EDT

Health Decisions, Inc.

Data Mining at Health Decisions entails fourteen steps:

Preparation- this step entails data acquisition, standardization and conversion to a new data asset that is compatible with Microsoft products.

Mining- The actual conduct of data mining starts with a problem statement expressed in words by an interested party. This statement is interpreted and expressed in the form of programming logic. Initial results of this program are reviewed to determine if they accurately capture the intent of the problem statement.

Action: Unlike statistical samples that review a representative selection of cases (most of which will be correct), data mining uses human judgment and analysis to review “problem” cases and decide if follow-up is warranted.

If you would like to obtain more information about how Data Mining through Health Decisions can make an impact on the audit of your Health Care related data and claims auditing, contact Si Nahra, President of Health Decisions today.

"The Health Decisions staff was responsive and knowledgeable and I was satisfied with the project. A key benefit of their audit is the knowledge going forward that the data is clean -- we cleaned up our rolls. I would recommend Health Decisions to other employers."
