Consultant for Employer Groups
Problem: Consultant was attempting to handle client information requests but found that the time it took to deal with various payors was more than what clients wanted to pay.
Action: Health Decisions established routine data exchange agreements with payors used by the consultant’s clients. Their data were made available via a custom data access tool available only to consultant staff.
Result: Consultant is able to respond to client data requests in a timely and cost-effective manner. Use of the data also has generated additional billings via new analyses and projects the consultant recommended and provided. All data services are offered in a fully HIPAA-compliant fashion.
Broker in Midwest seeking to expand
Problem: Broker wanted to gain access to larger employers. To do this required offering something that distinguished them from other brokers.
Action: Broker established a private-label arrangement with Health Decisions that allowed the broker to establish new relationships with large employers using HD’s audit and claim recovery service as a door opener.
Result: Broker earned fees from HD service that covered marketing costs. The relationship established with employers permitted Broker to offer additional services.
